Flarepath

The design goal for Flarepath WUA was “to provide visibility of the patching activity of Windows Update and associated technologies”. We wanted a product that could be used in all scenarios and not just limited to organisations using SUS. Moreover, we wanted to be able to include non-critical patches and driver updates. SUS runs within Internet Information Server (IIS) and can record a log of traffic to the SUS web site. There are many excellent free tools available to parse these log files but there are limitations with relying solely on the logs.
